Just wanted to say a big thanks to Angie and Mikael for hosting yet another successful Midsomer Party! Everyone seemed to be having tons of fun, the food was excellent, and many new people learned Swedish drinking songs with us, which is always fun.

Sorry I left so early, but I wasn't feeling so great and it was definitely the right thing to do (for my health). I'd have loved to have stayed and had more fun, as I'm sure the people who did stay had a blast. Next time, I expect to party much later into the night with you.

Thanks for bringing out the good Danish akvavit, Mikael, and not that German swill.

Actually, it would be interesting to do a comparison of latitude of distillery versus flavor of akvavit. If there is a correlation, as I suspect, then the best thing would be to see if there are any distillers in Svalbard or Lappland or similar, the stuff would be like liquid fiery velvet and probably worth it's weight in gold.
